In which the dog gets a haircut

It was time for Tik to get a summer haircut.  He has so much black fur, and every time he went outside, he was getting overheated.  He doesn't really shed, so that wasn't the problem.  But he was always panting and running around with his tongue sticking out.  I felt bad for him.

Plus his hair had gotten so long that keeping it brushed was beginning to be a real pain.

So the fella had to get a haircut.

Now, Connor isn't real crazy about the traditional Schnauzer cut, with the long hair on the legs and the long beard.  So, he asked the groomer to do something a little different.  He asked for an all-over cut.  And he picked the shortest setting on the clipper.  And instead of the Schnauzer face, he asked for a teddy bear face.

And Tik looks cute.  Completely different.  But still cute.  And he is so much cooler when he goes outside to play.  And his hair is so short now that Connor doesn't even have to brush it anymore.



I think they are both a lot happier.
