I had never been to Sea World before, and we had so so much fun!
We let little cleaner fish nibble our fingers. We pet little sharks. We fed the flamingos. We rode the Bayside Skyride out over the San Diego bay. We fed fish to the sea lions. And when we ran out of fish and I waved goodbye to the sea lions, one of them stood up and waved back at me!
We watched the sea lion show, and it was super funny. We watched the dolphin show and it was beautiful.
And we watched the Shamu show and Lex got soaking wet.
He insisted that we sit right up front in the soak zone.
Connor insisted that we buy some ponchos.
Then, during the show, we somehow didn't get wet.
Which made Lex mad, so we let him go down and stand at the front railing with all the other little kids who wanted to get soaked.
And he did. And he was so happy.
Fortunately, there are large family-sized dryers that you can rent for $6 to get you dried off.
The whole family ended up in one of these after we rode a really wet water ride called Shipwreck Rapids.
We also rode the Skytower Ride, and we saw all the big sharks at the Shark Encounter aquarium. That was another one of Lex's requests. He really wanted to see the big sharks.
We had a wonderful time! I'm so glad that we went. The kids enjoyed Sea World so much more than they had liked the San Diego Zoo. I had no idea that Sea World would be so much fun!
