I informed him that we had so many cards that he had better find a way to sell some or trade some in order to get the rest of the money he needed to build his new deck.
And so, he got to work.
He sorted through tons of old cards and selected some to take to the shop and sell.
He made enough money to buy some of the single cards he needed for his new deck, as well as another whole box of new Pokemon cards.
I had two goals here: one was not to spend any more money on cards.
Done.
The other was to reduce the number of cards we had in the house.
This was a fail.
He traded some valuable cards that he didn't want any more for another whole box of cards.
The number of Pokemon cards in the house actually increased. By a lot.
But he did get a ton of the cards he needed.
Including this Metagross GX.
Which isn't just any old Metagross GX.
It's a rainbow rare.
Gotta Catch 'Em All!
