I saw a recipe online for home made chalk paint, and it seemed easy and fun, so we went head and did it today.
Connor and Lex helped me mix it up.
RECIPE (IMPORTANT PART):
1 TBSP cornstarch
2 TBSP water
2 drops food coloring
We mixed this up 6 different times in 6 cups of the muffin tin. The boys were in charge of mixing and choosing the colors.
Then, we went outside and painted. Connor pained a big red apple with a brown worm, and then he declared that he was finished. I would say that he was occupied for about 20 minutes, from beginning to end.
Lex painted for much longer. Then he dumped all the paint on the ground to watch it mix and run down the hill. Then, he got out the hose and washed it all off. Then he played with the hose. I would say that he was occupied for about an hour, which is a SOLID WIN in my book.
