The Battle of Hogwarts was fought on May 2, 1998. In order to mark the occasion, I set about putting together a 3D puzzle of Hogwarts. I began around 10:00 on the morning of May 2, while watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
The first step was to separate all the pieces from the pieces that were not pieces.
These are all trash, but they recommend waiting until you have finished the puzzle to throw them away, just in case you miss something important in there. DON'T THROW THE REAL PIECES AWAY. Talk about anxiety.
Then, you assemble the 2D pieces. This was harder than a usual 2D puzzle, because there was no good picture of what the 2D pieces were supposed to look like.
I mean, there was this. Basically, I had to look at the pieces and try to piece together what was what based on things like window and brick patterns that were slightly different.
I think this was as far as I got during the first movie, and I started the second one right away.
I managed to get the first box and building done in one day!
I started the second box and second building on day 2.
Mischief Managed.
