Connor is back from Japan! And he brought home gifts for everyone! He buys really wonderful souvenirs, by the way.

Today is the last day of school before Thanksgiving break.
It's also the day that Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet come out.
So, I preordered them for the kids so that they would have something fun to do over Thanksgiving Break. Gotta catch 'em all!
...and then we go adventuring.
Last night, the boys and I took Nana and Grandpa down to the City Springs area for a fun Friday night concert. We had a delicious dinner at Flower Child and spent some time at the park listening to the live music.
Today, I took Nana out hunting for Pokemon, and we ended up in another park.

Then, I heard some more live music, so we called Grandpa to meet us for lunch at the pub so that we could eat and enjoy the band.
It turns out that the pub was hosting a Canada Day celebration! It was super cute, and all the songs being played by the cover band were originally by artists that hail from Canada like Justin Bieber and Celine Deon.
Today we took Nana and Grandpa for a hike up Stone Mountain.
As soon as we started up the hill, Connor and Lex took off ahead of us.
We didn't meet them again until we got to the top.
Then, they promptly took off again, heading back down.
Then, we met them back at the car.
They have gotten faster at climbing up and down these past four trips to Stone Mountain.

We went to the local comic book store for the first Pokemon event of the after-COVID-times.
Connor was very excited to get new cards.
He won a Charizard plushie.
Lex finished his Africa Geography workbook, and began the Europe version.
I drew some gems to use with my VIPKID classes, and Lex offered to help me color them.
Lex drew some fantastic Pokemon pictures for art class.
Lex will be reading One Thousand and One Arabian Nights next.
Lex has begun the final section of his science text book, so I ordered the last Sassafras Science Adventure book for the boys. They have been completing one of these science books every year during the summer as part of our "summer camp" at home. I think we may start it a little early this year.
