After our Father's Day Brunch, we went golfing. Mini golfing, that is.

In which we go to Chicago for a certain big celebration

We got up very, very early this morning. 

We drove to the airport, parked the car, checked our bags, went through security, boarded a plane, flew to Chicago, and landed in the Chicago O'Hare airport before 8:30 AM, local time. 

We got our bags, ordered an Uber, and headed to the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel had a room ready for our arrival, and let us check in very, very early. We unpacked and then we went to lunch with the Man of the Hour himself, my brother Kevin.

He took us to a Chicago classic hot dog spot: Portillo's. I had a chili cheese dog and onion rings. The boys split a small cake shake along with their hot dogs. Somehow, Kevin (the man of the hour) ate an entire medium cake shake all by himself. 

Then, after we were done eating, we went to play Top Golf, you know, to work it all off. Nevermind that Top Golf also serves food.

I ordered a frozen spiked strawberry lemonade.

We may have also ordered some chips and queso, just because it's hard to resist chips and queso.

Nevermind the hot dogs and onion rings and cake shakes we just ate.

After Top Golf, we went back to the hotel because being the Man of the Hour means that one is very busy, and has many things to do.

We were able to meet up with my parents, and then we went to the mall for a little while.

We ended the day by going to Isha's parents' house (aka Bridal Headquarters) for dinner, where we all ate some fantastic Chicago pizza. 

In which we go to Top Golf

We played foosball, Top Golf Classic, the new Angry Birds game, and had lunch.

Fully Vaccinated!

We found ourselves able to do whatever we wanted this afternoon.

So, we went to the mall and walked around. We tried on sunglasses. We got boba tea.

Then, we went to Top Golf and played the new Angry Birds golf game and ate too many delicious appetizers and desserts.

Helen, Georgia

We went to Helen last year in October.  This year, we went for Oktoberfest in September, which is apparently a thing.  It was a great weekend, and very hot.  Connor had been hoping that it would be cooler, since we were going to the mountains.  But the mountains in Georgia are still in Georgia.

We spent the day doing fun things.  We went to two different mini golf courses and we rode the Mountain Coaster two times.  Of course, we also went shopping and ate all the German food we could fit in our bellies.
