Happy Anniversary!!

Today Kevin and I celebrated our 18th anniversary!

We went to the Atlanta Jazz Festival at Piedmont Park. There were so many food trucks and people and tents. We didn't even bring a blanket. 

We did, however, stop on the way there from where we had to park the car (very far away) to grab some Starbucks. 

Kevin bought me some anniversary blend coffee.

The traditional 18th wedding anniversary gift is porcelain.

We both bought bowls for each other. Great minds think alike!

Kevin bought me some rimmed soup bowls that match our china pattern.

I bought him some pasta bowls that match our everyday plates.

We went to dinner at The Select, and we got the daily special, which was a huge meal for two.

We had a T-bone steak, potatoes, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. Oh, and French onion soup, too.

We went to another place for dessert. We went to The Red Telephone Booth, which is a secret location that you can only enter by dialing the correct phone number in the phone booth. Then it opens up like magic.

We had a chocolate lava bomb cake, and I had a red clover cocktail, which was absolutely fantastic.

17th Anniversary Trip to Six Flags Over Georgia

Today we celebrated our 17th Anniversary by buying season passes to both Six Flags Over Georgia and White Water. 

We spent about 3 hours at Six Flags today. We had lunch at Johnny Rockets and rode a few rides.

I took a few photos while the kids were waiting in line for the Georgia Scorcher roller coaster.

I bought them for him as a little gift. 

They are carnelian, which is the gemstone that corresponds to the 17th anniversary. 

Then, I noticed the kids in line behind Kevin.

The Cabin

To celebrate our 16th anniversary and the end of the school year and Memorial Day, we rented an awesome cabin for the long weekend.

15th Anniversary (at home edition)

We had a nice dinner at home to celebrate tonight.

We had focaccia bread, roasted chicken with vegetables, and asparagus risotto.

The traditional gift for the 15th wedding anniversary is crystal.

Our friends gifted us some fireworks to celebrate.

Today was the second big day!  Unfortunately, Lex wasn't feeling very well. But he did his best to make the best of it.

There was a very lovely topiary event going on in the park.

Connor wanted to have his picture taken with Stitch after we took a trip to Mars.  

It was intense.

We had lunch in Japan.

The kids really liked this Japanese soda pop.

I got a fancy bowl of ramen.

Lex tried on my ears.  He looks pretty good in them.

We also visited China.

This beautiful fountain was in Italy.

We had dinner at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall with all of the princesses.
