Celebrating the End of Summer
Because Monday is the first day of the new school year, we took the boys out for a special dinner on Friday night.
Here is one freshman and one junior.
Lex got the surf and turf for dinner.
Connor got a burger and sweet potato fries.
Kevin got this overloaded bloody mary.
People actually asked for photos of his amazing drink/meal.
I got the blackened chicken fettuccine alfredo with a side of hush puppies.

We went to the movies
We went to the movies last night to see Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning (Part 1) and it was a fantastic film. Even better, we saw it in 4DX.
It was the first movie we have ever seen in 4DX, and let me tell you, it's quite the experience. Mission Impossible makes for a great 4DX movie.
(I can't wait for the new Haunted Mansion Movie.)
The seats move and there are special effects in the theater around you, including fog, strobe lighting, smells, wind, and rain. The car chases and fight scenes are particularly enjoyable. I did get punched in the back a few times during the fight scenes. It's like massage chair technology that has been corrupted for evil. And you have to hang on to your cell phone and popcorn. Really. Our movie watching experience was a lot like an amusement park ride.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Barbie and Oppenheimer when they come out next weekend!

Magic Kingdom, Part II
Kevin and I took a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad while we waited for the boys, and we watched the flag lowering ceremony at the front of the park.
Then, we got some Starbucks, and the kids joined us in time to see a mini parade down Main Street USA.
We went back to Frontierland, and we rode the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and ate at the Pecos Bill Cafe.
More churros!
We practiced a little sharp shooting.
Then, we headed to Adventureland.
We headed back to Fantasyland.
Jaq and Gus
We were going to ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, but it closed right as we got there.
Boo.
So, we went to it's a small world instead.
We decided to get a late night snack at the Pinocchio Village Haus while we waited for the fireworks to start.
I got a key lime tart.
Then, we heard the fireworks begin early. The restaurant cleared out very quickly.
We got caught behind the castle in between launch sites, and it was raining. The fireworks show started early because they knew a big storm was coming.
After the fireworks, we ducked into a nearby gift shop and bought some ponchos, and headed back to the hotel.
Goodnight Mickey!
