Tiny Blueberry Harvest

 Yesterday I checked on our blueberry bushes, and I found three blue berries.

A blue berry.

A blueberry.

A blue blueberry.

One for me, and one for Kevin, and one for Connor, who was out bouncing a basketball in front of our house, and it took a moment of consideration before he ate it, and it *may* have been the first blueberry he ever ate willingly. No, he didn't want another. Lex gets dibs on the next blueberry we manage to grow and successfully harvest.

Problems with Modern Solutions

Today we installed our high-tech modern blueberry security system to make sure that the birds don't eat our berries again this year.

We covered all the blueberry bushes, but we left the raspberries uncovered, since they are still flowering and need to be pollinated by the busy bees.

I checked on our blueberry bushes today, and I was pleased to see a few blooms and berries in progress!

Hopefully we get to harvest and eat them this year, and the birds don't beat us to it!

Note to self: Keep a close watch on those blueberries!

Quarantine Garden Update

Remember Kevin's new quarantine garden project?

It's progressing nicely.

Did you know that you can have blueberry bushes delivered to you in the comfort and safety of your own home?

Neither did I, but apparently you can.

I spy blueberries and tomatoes.

And the winner of the "First Seeds to Sprout Award" goes to SWEET BASIL!

Atlanta Botanical Garden

I love the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

It's a magical wonderland, and the topiaries are amazing!

Today was the second big day!  Unfortunately, Lex wasn't feeling very well. But he did his best to make the best of it.

There was a very lovely topiary event going on in the park.

Connor wanted to have his picture taken with Stitch after we took a trip to Mars.  

It was intense.

We had lunch in Japan.

The kids really liked this Japanese soda pop.

I got a fancy bowl of ramen.

Lex tried on my ears.  He looks pretty good in them.

We also visited China.

This beautiful fountain was in Italy.

We had dinner at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall with all of the princesses.
