...sourced from the multitude of abandoned half-finished bottles of water I find all over the house all day, every day, and which no one else cares to claim.

 In which Kevin and his friends deep fried another turkey, and a duck, and roasted a ham. 

I think we ended up with around 30 people at our party, and there was a ton of food. 

Fortunately, everyone brought food to share, and everyone took leftovers home with them.

Oh, and we all got to watch the Cleveland Browns beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime!

Poppy and Tik spent the day with their friends at the doggie daycare, and they were so cute when I went to pick them up after the party.

Turkey Day 2022

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and football!

And, of course, today we ate food! Lots and lots of food.

The Snack Spread

This turkey weighed 20 lbs

We had turkey and gravy and Cheddar Bay biscuits and corn bread stuffing

Jellied Cranberry Sauce, Carrots, Deviled Eggs

Dinner was delicious!

This pumpkin pie is huge!

Someone made a valiant effort at eating a normal sized slice.

We also had a huge apple pie.

Football & Wings

Connor and I have watched college football and ordered wings (and french fries) for college football every Saturday that we have been at home so far this season. 

(We took a week off when we went to Grandpa's 100th birthday.)

Today we ordered wings and fries (and pretzel bites) from Taco Mac.

Last week we got them from Wing Stop.

We ordered wings from Buffalo Wild Wings for week 1 of the season.

These dogs want some wings, please.

Just a Little off the Top

These little puppers got a little trim today, and they look so cute, so I had to take some photos.

Anna Ruby Falls - Again

Today is the day on which we get a new roof installed. The noise was just too much, so we dropped the dogs off at a nice doggy day care for a quiet play date, and then we headed out of town. 

We went to Helen again and found a German restaurant that we hadn't eaten at yet. So, we had lunch at Hofer's Bakery and Cafe. The food was amazing, and we ate a ton of it.

So, to get a little exercise after our huge meal, we went to Anna Ruby Falls and hiked up to see the water falls again.

There was a very pretty rainbow at the base of the falls today.

I always think falls are so peaceful, but honestly? 

They are really LOUD!

Thanksgiving 2021

We had a turkey, duck, and chicken.

Connor also decorated a gingerbread turkey.

Nana's turkey is very cute.

Grandpa and Nana taught us all a new card game called Hand in Hand. 

It's pretty fun and easy to play.

In which we go apple picking

We spent some time picking apples at the B.J. Reece Orchards this morning.



We each picked 1/2 peck of apples.
