Author Event - Chloe Gong & Rebecca Ross
Last night, I went to an event with my friend and her daughter. Her daughter always finds out about the coolest author events, and this time they were kind enough to invite me to tag along.
So, we went out for pizza and lasagna at an Italian restaurant, and then we went to a rec center where Rebecca Ross, another author who lives somewhere nearby in Georgia, acted as a talk show host, and interviewed Chloe Gong about her new release.
Then, we got a chance to briefly meet Chloe and have her sign our books.
She drew little cats on all the books, because one of the characters in the story has a cat that she based on her own beloved pet.
I'm really looking forward to reading this book, and I have ordered lots of other books by both Chloe Gong and Rebecca Ross from the library.

Spring Break 2023
At Connor's request, I agreed to take him and four of his friends to Seaside, Florida for a week of Spring Break. He said everyone was going to be there, and he wasn't wrong.
The weather was perfect all week long. It rained when we drove down, and it rained when we drove back home, but in between, it was sunny and hot.
Seaside, Florida is the perfect little town.
It was the filming location for The Truman Show.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Look! Santa Came! And he brought gifts for both Christmas and Boxing Day!
Cherry Danishes and Chocolate Filled Croissants
Santa brought us a gift pack of tickets to the opening match of the Atlanta United Season in February, along with some fantastic ornaments for the tree.
I love making Yule Log cakes. They are so fantastic.
I made two beef wellingtons this year. One regular one, and one without ham.
The scoring on the bread says "No Ham" so that I wouldn't mix them up.
We had four friends join us for Christmas dinner, so there were 8 of us around the table.
We had beef wellington with red wine au jus, parsley potatoes, baked carrots, roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potato casserole, and sourdough bread. We had coconut cream cake and the Yule Log cake for dessert.
After dinner and dessert, we played a few rounds of Exploding Kittens.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
