Cooks & Soldiers & Riverdance

Kevin and I went out on a date tonight.

First, we had dinner at Cooks & Soldiers. It's a Spanish tapas restaurant.

We had Patatas Bravas (little fried potatoes), Mountain Bread (a rustic bread), Alcachofas (artichokes), Chistorra Envuelta (sausages wrapped in puff pastry), Piquillo Relleno (stuffed peppers), Cordero (lamb), and Berenjenas (eggplant). 

Then, we went to the Fox Theater to see Riverdance!

The Swan Princess

Today I took the boys to see a performance of The Swan Princess by the Atlanta Ballet.

We had some really good seats.

It seemed like we had to wait forever for the show to start.

The show was really well done.

It's an adaptation of Swan Lake that is meant for children.  It's only about an hour long, and there is a voice over that explains what is happening and who the characters are.  I think the kids liked it, but Connor was more interested in the music than the dancing.  Which is fine.

Mathemagic

Last month we went to see The Science of Magic.  This month, we went to see a math magic show.  It's a themed series, I guess.

It was pretty entertaining!

We all love magic.

Fox Theater Tour

Today for my birthday, Kevin arranged for our family to take a tour of the historic Fox Theater downtown.  It was fun, informative, and super interesting!

After our tour, we went to the Varsity for chili dogs.

It was a great way to spend the day!

Chinese Ribbon Dance of Empowerment

Tonight the boys and I went to see an Atlanta Chinese Dance Company performance.
