Souvenirs from Japan

Connor is back from Japan! And he brought home gifts for everyone! He buys really wonderful souvenirs, by the way.

Great Souvenirs

Look at what he brought home for me.

He knows I love puzzles and notebooks.

And Starbucks mugs.

I love my new mug!

This is Homeschooling

8th Grade

Here is an eighth grade student, reading Around the World in 80 Days *while* completing a Japanese Kanji practice workbook *while* holding a smol dog on his lap, because this is what homeschooling looks like some days.

(Yes, he knows that multitasking isn't as effective as focusing on just one thing at a time. He just read about it in that book that is sitting there in the corner. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.)

Getting Ready for 7th Grade

Lex is going to be a 7th grader this year!!

Today I spent some time printing the materials I purchased electronically for him to use.  We are still waiting on one of his workbooks (logic) to be delivered, but hopefully it will arrive soon.

Connor is taking Japanese in high school, so Lex asked if we could learn Japanese, too.

The goal is obviously a trip to Tokyo.

Especially to Universal Studios where they have built the new Super Nintendo World.

Stay tuned. School starts after Labor Day!
