Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival

This weekend was the Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival, and we went both days. It was a fantastic collection of food trucks, art vendors, and live music on two stages.

There was also a huge kids carnival with inflatables, slides, and spinning rides.

Dragon Con

Kevin and I went to Dragon Con for the first time today. I knew it was a big deal, but I didn't really know.

Dragon Con

It's huge. Like five hotels and two convention centers huge.

Dragon Con

This is the lobby of the Marriott Marquis.

It's where they filmed part of the Hunger Games. It was used as the Tribute Center.

Dragon Con

We saw so many puppets and people in costume.

There was a gaming center for Magic and Dungeons & Dragons and board games and computer games and console games.

The local Star Wars cosplay group brought part of the Death Star with them.

I bought stickers!

We only went for one day, but the convention lasts from Thursday to Monday. I'm not sure how anyone has the energy for more than one day of Dragon Con, especially considering that there are basically events around the clock.

The St Patrick’s Day Festival

There was a parade and day-long festival to celebrate St. Patrick's Day today.

It's a beautiful, but very chilly windy day.

Look at the spring blossoms!

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Fan Fest

Later tonight, the Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl. It's happening right here in Atlanta, so this afternoon, we took the kids to the Fan Fest.

It was in the same place as the Super Bowl Fan Fest, but it wasn't quite as large.

Fan Fest

There were a surprisingly huge number of Ohio State Fans there.

Atlanta Christkindl Market

I have a short list of things that I really want to do this Christmas, and one of the things on my list is going to the Atlanta Christkindl Market again this year.

And so, today for lunch, we went to eat German food. I had a kasewurst with sauerkraut, and potato pancakes with applesauce. Yum!

The boys and I all ate Leberkäse sandwiches with fries.

I had a nice hot cup of mulled wine.

In which we take Nana and Grandpa to Helen

...for a little bit of Oktoberfest fun, and then we ate at the Troll Tavern and hung out under a bridge.
