November Nonsense: Part VI
Fun fact: You can't be mad while wearing these epic pink Pikachu socks.
Lex somehow got to the top of this spider playground climber, and then got himself stuck and couldn't get back down. I had to climb up there to rescue him. This photo is post rescue, and he is working on climbing down the last bit by himself.
I'll wager that the next time we go to this park, this spider won't seem quite so big and scary.

November Nonsense: Part II
Today I am pleased to present:
I am also pleased to present these amazing throw pillows that Connor found at the store and insisted were the most epic pillows on the entire planet, which he persisted in insisting until I was finally resigned to purchase them for his continued enjoyment at home.
Socks and skeletons!

Yes, I bought the pillows. Those pillows.
And I don't regret it at all.
He loves them.
Speaking of pillows...
...it's a tiny dog on a giant fuf.

November Nonsense Part I
The boys made laurel wreath crowns as part of our unit on Ancient Rome, and they agreed to let me take their photos while wearing them.
In other nonsense-related news, I have new Pokemon themed socks!

Tidbits
I just ran a load of laundry through the wash containing a pair of Connor's pajama pants with a pull-up hidden inside them. Most interesting mess of 2011 thus far.
I can't keep socks on Lex's feet, unless he is wearing shoes. Hats, on the other hand, are an entirely different matter. Once a hat has been placed upon his head, he insists on wearing it for hours.

Also, before Christmas, Lex starting doing this thing where he walks around with one hand behind his back. As if he can do anything, anything at all, with one hand behind his back.

It's Moose Time!
One of my favorite things to do with the boys at Christmas is a tradition of our very own making. Each December, the boys put on moose shirts and have their pictures taken on the couch.
Here are Connor's moose photos from 2007 and 2008.
Here are the photos of Connor and Lex from 2009.
And here, with much further ado, are the 2010 Annual Moose Photos!

Lex's New Hideout
Have you seen Lex?
Or my wooden salad spoon?
Oh wait - I know where to go look - he's hiding under his highchair!

This is Lex's new favorite game. I'm not really sure what is going through his little head. Maybe this a boat, and the spoon is an oar? But every day, he goes and gets the wooden salad spoon (okay, some days it's the salad fork), and he climbs up on that little tarp and giggles his head off. Then he climbs down...
...and climbs back up again. He does this for hours. Every day.
(Well, except yesterday, when I had to take the spoon away for a little bit after he (probably) accidentally knocked Connor in the face with it. It was a sad moment for everyone involved, but we all survived to live another day, today, when Lex got his spoon back, and climbed up onto that little tarp...and back down again...and back up again...)
P.S. Did you notice the one missing sock in that last picture? Why does my child routinely take one of his socks off?

How We Celebrated
When Lex woke up on the morning of his birthday, I got the feeling that he was ready to go and do something fun for the day.
I think it was the suitcase that gave me that idea.
Where is his sock?
So, we went to the zoo with friends.
The Birthday Boy was allowed to sit right up front!
After a nice day at the zoo, we came home for dinner and dessert with Daddy!
