April Lego Monthly Mini Model: Duck!
Editor's Note: At a Starbucks inside a Barnes & Noble. Near the Lego store, to be sure. Probably one of our favorite places on the planet. Also, when did he get so grown up?

Connor is still hard at work on addressing his Valentines cards.
Connor started addressing all his Valentines yesterday. I am so proud of him, because he is writing them all by himself! He would ask me to write down a name on a piece of paper, and then he would copy it onto the Valentines. Often, he only got the first part of the name down, as he kept running out of space on those tiny little cards.
By the way, he got Star Wars Valentines.
He finished them all up this morning, and then he asked me to mail them out.

On this day the construction of the Saturn V commences
Connor got a model Saturn V rocket for his birthday. It was at the top of his wish list, and Grandma Ella and Papa Kirk bought it for him. They are the ones, after all, who introduced him to the explosive world of model rockets last Christmas. They didn't get too far on the assembly tonight, but the project has officially begun!
(The delay in starting construction - because Connor wanted to start building it before the guests had even left his party - was due to the fact that he was already building a Big Daddy rocket, and we have a one-rocket-at-a-time policy. Construction of the Big Daddy was completed this evening, and so the next rocket project began.)
