Here is the second thing that I would like to have for my birthday (30 days away as of today!) or Christmas - an OXO brand teakettle that has a spout that automatically opens when it is lifted and poured. I know the first generation of these teakettles were known as the "uplift" model. Apparently, this new generation is called the "softworks" teakettle.
