Monday Night

Last night was our first Dodgeball meet. Man, it was awesome! So much fun, and good exercise, too. I wasn't entirely clear on some of the more subtle rules during the first set of games, but I think I had it down by the second set. Each Monday night we are going to play two 20-minute game sets. Last night we played a team that was not a part of our organization first, and then we played another CYP team. It was so much fun, and I'm really looking forward to playing again next week.

We played the two early games last night, so we got home in time for me to watch How I Met Your Mother at its new time, at 8:00 PM. Or so I thought. The show was totally cancelled in Central Ohio so that they could show the governor's debate. Which totally sucked, because they were also showing the debate on ONN, which is only like two stations away! ARGH! So, I figured I would just catch the show on the CBS website this morning, but it isn't posted. Hopefully they are just late in getting it up there, and not keeping it off the web for some reason. That would make me mad. Trying to watch tv lately has become so much more difficult than I ever remember. What ever happened to the days when you liked a show, turned on the tv at the same time each week, and got to actually watch it? That's how it is supposed to be.

Then, Kevin stayed up really, really late last night to help his little brother with some math homework over the phone. Then, when he came to bed, he woke me up, and I realized that the window in our bedroom (yes, the one we paid the roofing company to fix, and they didn't) was leaking. So, Kevin spent *hours* working on it last night. I didn't get much sleep, and I was very cranky. I probably still am, but now things are quiet and calm, so I guess I can fake being nice for now.

Oh, and this morning on the way to work, we flipped past 94.1 FM on the radio, and somehow the Howard Stern show was on it. We think that someone has figured out how to broadcast the satallite feed in between major stations. Which, is totally illegal. He dropped the f-bomb about a millon times in about a minute, and the only other words he said were the other ones on the "list." Seriously, it wasn't entertaining at all. It was as if he was cussing just for the novelty of being able to cuss, but not saying anything else of substance. Anyways, who ever is re-broadcasting the feed is in for some serious FCC fines, and probably can be sued by Sirius for unauthorized use of their intellectually-copyrighted property. But, until they figure it out, you can listen to Stern for free.
