Well, after all the incredibly warm (and therefore unusual) weather that we have been having, this morning there was a layer of frost on all the fields by my house when I was driving to work. The closer to Columbus that I got, though, the less of it there was.
I think that maybe it might sort of snow for Christmas this year, but only if this weather pattern continues to get colder, and doesn't suddenly warm back up to say, 65 degrees. (Insert appropriate global warming comment here, if you so choose.)
My only other thought about this warm weather is the fact that none of the bugs are going to die off this winter. So that means that there will be more of those little lady-bug-impersonators-that-bite next summer, along with more flies. In fact, there seemed to be a fly convention taking place on our back deck last weekend. They had probably convened to discuss the unusally warm weather.
It's the end of December, and those suckers should be freezing to death, and soon!
Well, plus, I like to have snow on Christmas. It just seems right.
