Connor is 7 Weeks Old!

This photo was taken yesterday. He loves that little bear blankie, and he shows his affection for it by chowing down on it all the time.

Last night, I put Connor to bed at 11:30 (well, actually, I only put him to bed because that's when HE decided to fall asleep). I woke up at 3:45 in the morning because of a terrible thunderstorm. At first, I thought Kevin had given Connor a bottle sometime during the night instead of waking me up to feed him, but he said that he hadn't. So, then I worried that he had been crying and that I didn't hear him over the thunder. But, when I got into his room, he hadn't moved at all - so then I worried that something was wrong and checked to make sure he was still breathing...and of course he still was! Somehow, the baby who had only been sleeping for 1 and a half to 2 and a half hours at night (since I started nursing again) slept for 5 hours straight last night!! I think it had something to do with the extra bottle of formula I gave him after his bath and before he fell asleep. :) We might try that again tonight.

On a related note - Connor makes a ton of noise when he sleeps. He snores, grunts, squeaks and laughs! It's cute during the day when he is napping, but it is a different story at night when we are trying to sleep, too. We stopped letting him sleep at night in the bassinet in our room after only a few nights. Then, we eventually had to stop using the baby monitor at night, too, because he was still keeping us up. Even now his noise sometimes wakes me from the other side of the house, but I don't want to sleep with all the doors shut because I'm afraid I wouldn't hear him cry until he was really screaming in the middle of the night.
