So, I am summarizing some deposition transcripts for work, and they are very interesting reading. There are three rural folks, and they are not the brightest people. Only one of the three ever graduated from high school, and he can't even read. (I can't imagine not being able to read.)
Here are some of my favorite parts:
Q. “I assume you consume marijuana?”
A. “No. Very rarely.”
Q. “How often?”
A. “Maybe couple times a month or something.”
Ha! I love how he said "no" before totally admitting it!
Q. “So we’ve got one petty theft charge, one domestic violence, one interference with custody, one O.V.I., and one drug paraphernalia charge?”
A. “As far as I know. I mean, I know it’s not the greatest.”
Not the greatest? You've got to be kidding me!
This is real testimony. It's almost as entertaining as the congressional hearings on steriod use in baseball.
