I work downtown, and they keep installing red light cameras everywhere down there. I have to drive past four every day. I don't usually run lights, and I've been extra careful ever since the cameras went in.
But, on Tuesday morning, I think I got caught.
It was wet and rainy, and the yellow light was very short. Since it was wet out, I don't think I could have stopped safely. And the yellow light was very short. I was in the intersection when it turned yellow, but I was still in the intersection when it turned red.
Then the camera flash went off a few times, and I didn't see anyone else in the intersection. Which means that I am the one that set it off.
I guess the ticket is $95, and it will be mailed to the house, if I did get caught. I don't know how long it takes to come, but I've been crossing my fingers each time I get the mail for the past two days. Hopefully, it won't ever come.
But if it does, I'm going to appeal it.

I feel your pain--I feel like I always end up being That Girl who has to make that last-second decision: do I slam on my brakes and pray the guy behind me stops, or do I hit the gas and pray the camera/cop at the corner doesn't notice?
And how did you post that little "favorite links" section? I'm so slow when it comes to this stuff.
The links section is an option you can add to your blog when you customize it, kind of like a photo...does that help?
