First Cake Decorated with Rolled Fondant

Yesterday Kevin and I were supposed to have a smallish dinner party, but we had to cancel it because of all of the snow, which was probably a good thing, since all the snow turned into a blizzard.
But, I did spend some time decorating the cake you see above, and it was my first try at decorating with rolled fondant. I need to find a recipe for fondant that tastes good, because this stuff wasn't edible. The cake under it was delicious, though. And, I thought that the cake turned out to be very pretty, though I do need some more practice.
So, if you are going to stop over, let me know, and I'll bake a cake.

Your cake looks very pretty. It appears as though you tried to coordinate it with your plate. I heard once that there might be a white chocolate fondant that might be eatable. Fondant is a very pretty for cake decorating but not very practical for eating.
