On Saturday, we went to Aunt Kathy's annual 4th of July Major Event and Cornhole Tournament (which I look forward to all year long, by the way), and it was a great time. Kevin and I decided that we didn't want to feel pressured to leave in time to get Connor home for his bedtime, so we brought a pack and play with us and when he got tired, I just laid him down for the night at Kathy's house.
Then, when the time came to leave, I managed to get him out of the pack and play and into his car seat without waking him up! He then slept the entire drive back to Columbus...and again, I moved him from the car seat into his crib without waking him.
It was a good plan, and it went off without a hitch. Connor is such a good little baby, and I apparently have the magical touch required to move him from location to location to location without waking him up.
Color me pleased.
The party, by the way, was awesome again this year...even though Kevin and I both lost during our first round of cornhole. There's always next year...and maybe we'll practice before we go down.

I think this picture is kind of funny, because I look like a giant...even compared to the chairs and the houses in the background.
