Back Home Again

We are back from our vacation. We took an extra day coming home, and stopped along the way at a number of places.

First, we stopped at an outlet mall in Birch Run, Michigan. We bought Connor a kid-size sleeping bag for next year, and Kevin got an axe at the Coleman outlet store. Then, Kevin got a new dress shirt, and Connor got a dinosaur Halloween outfit from the Carter's outlet. I, surprisingly, didn't get anything. The only store we stopped in that I found something that I liked was the Le Cruset outlet, and I could have spent a fortune in there, so I didn't buy anything at all!

Next, we stopped for dinner at a very fancy restaraunt called the Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor (I know!) that was in a train depot from the 1880s. I really liked it, and the food was great, too.

We stayed overnight in a charming bed and breakfast in Chelsea, Michigan, and the next day we stopped at Cabelas in Dundee. We must have spent at least three hours there! Kevin and I split an ostrich meat sandwich, and a wild boar sandwich. Both were very good.

Finally, we made it back to Worthington, where we stopped at my parents' house for pizza and to feed Connor before going home. Now that we are home, we are mostly unpacked, but it seems like I've already done a dozen loads of laundry and there is still more to be done! (I also did a half-dozen loads of laundry at a laundramat while we were camping one afternoon.)

Apparently, Vacation = Laundry, and Camping = Laundry x 2.

Getting back into the swing of things at work has been impossible, not the least because the hard drive on my pc at work crashed while I was away. Nothing beats a Monday morning at work after a week away when you are greeted by a computer that has no operating system installed on it!
