Thanks for your help!

So, Kevin told me that he would clean up the kitchen tonight after dinner while I was taking care of Connor and running some errands. When I came home I found the dishwasher running (good) and the left over food in the fridge (also good). But, then I also found the following:

1. A sink full of dishes that needed washed, some of which I just *know* could have fit into the dishwasher.

2. A pile of trash and food pieces from Connor's high chair on the counter *next* to the full trash can.

3. Crumbs on all the counters.

4. Pot holders and oven mitts on the counters.

5. My husband, sitting on the couch and watching TV, apparently satisfied with the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Now, I don't mean to say that Kevin, himself, is bad at cleaning a kitchen. My point is more general. I just don't think that *men* really know when a kitchen is *clean.*

Any thoughts?

Oh my word--did my husband stop by your house this evening? This is exactly what I've come to expect (accept?) as "cleaning the kitchen" after dinner! The worst part is you can't really get too annoyed with it, because they really think they've done a great job!

It must be universal. And I have to laugh out loud also because the other day I said to my husband "can you help clean up please?" & he said "it is clean" (and he's not a jerk...just a man who truly did think things looked ok :) so AFTER I did a pile of dishes, cleared the countertops, swept the floor & cleared paperwork off the table, cleaned up a pile of toys....he must have caught on because he got to the basket of clothes that needed to be folded before I could. Just makes me shake my head in wonderment sometimes!
