Kevin's Birthday

Kevin celebrated his birthday last week, and it was a lovely time. We had a nice dinner out at Olive Garden (I love endless pasta bowls, and Connor's favorite food right now is pasta), and I baked him a lemon cake with buttercream frosting. It was delicious, even though it wasn't chocolate.

His parents came down the weekend before his birthday to celebrate with us, and Connor really enjoyed seeing them, as did Kevin and I, of course.

We played outside after dinner, because it was a beautiful day, and because we had to make room for the pie that Ella brought down!

And finally, here is the birthday boy blowing out his candles!

Why, yes it is! Good eye!

Ella turned me on to Seventh Generation products. We use the dishsoap, multipurpose spray cleaner and laundry detergent.

Yeah, all our relatives are going green!!! I clean mostly with vinegar and baking soda now.
I also make my own wonderful laundry detergent, which saves us a LOT of money (we were buying some earth-friendly stuff that was about $18 per gallon, if not more; this costs less than $1.50 for two gallons!). My mom makes it, as well as some friends now too! I'll post it sometime.
