I love to read. I love books. But this whole phenomenon slipped past me somehow until recently.The movie comes out on Friday and I haven't read these books yet. (Not that I've been to the movies in ages, either.)
I put in a request for this book from the library, but I am 1041 on the list. I had tried to request the book about two weeks ago, but there were so many requests that I couldn't get onto the list.
Now I have a decision to make. Should I go out and buy the books to read, with the idea of reading the books before seeing the movie (probably on DVD)? Should I see the movie first and wait for the library book to come in?
Realizing that this probably isn't that important, I'm probably not going to decide at all and just let whatever happens happen. If I'm out and the book is for sale and calls to me, I may just buy it.
Has anyone read this series of books yet? I love vampire stories (one of my favorite classes that I took in college was the history of the vampire story), and I guess that's what it is about. I think there are 4 books in the series.

I have several girlfriends who swear this is the only book series you'll ever read again...I don't know about that, but I think I'm going to have to give it a shot. I might bite the bullet and just buy the first one--after the new house is settled, of course!
I may have mentioned these to you once or I think I did. I've read the first 2 and have both. You are welcome to borrow them if you would like. I should be more focused on baby things right now and haven't picked up book 3. (I'm bad about letting things go if I get interested in a book.)
What baby things are you focused on right now? And YES, PLEASE, can I borrow the first two?
You may want to see the movie first. I've read the books and have a few complaints about the casting. Hopefully I can separate the book from the movie and enjoy it.
