Every year we hang up the Christmas Cards we receive so that we can enjoy them for a while. This year, we are hanging them on the door again. Connor seemed to like that last year.
I finished addressing all of our friends & family cards last night, and when Connor wakes up from his nap, we are going to the post office to mail them. I think that they will still be on time, with one exception. I don't know if Shilpa's card will make it to Hawaii on time. (Sorry, Shilpa.) Hopefully Kevin will bring home the list of co-workers that he wants to mail them to, or else that might be a lost cause.
We received a card yesterday in the mail from my cousin's step-sister, Janele. I had to look at the address label a few times to be sure of what I was seeing. I haven't seen her or talked to her since I was about 12. I have only ever seen her eldest daughter once when my aunt and uncle were babysitting her, and even that when she was less than a year old. There was a picture inside of Janele's three daughters, all of them very grown up. I don't know what brought the card on, but I was happy to send one to her in return.

Yeah, I get a Christmas card, too. But talking to me when we are in the same room together, not so much.
So weird.
