Airman

I just finished reading Airman by Eoin Colfer, who writes some pretty amazing fiction. The story was a quick read and full of excitement, danger and heroes, one of which falls in love with a princess. It had a happy ending, and I liked it.

The main character's name was Conor, which I liked, and the princess was named Isabella, which is another name that I love. Isabella has been on my short list of names that I like for girls since we were picking out a name for our little Connor.

ooooh, neat--reminds me of my hubby who has his private pilot's license--for our second date he took me flying in a Cessna 132!

Hmm...I wonder if Grandpa Pete encouraged the flying lessons...I now recall that my mother in law took flying lessons as well, and flew herself around in her younger days as well.

I think it was J's sis who encouraged it--I think Grandpa Pete was fearful of it (J's mom is the one who had a HUGE sense of adventure, which is where he and his sis got it from:)
