I went ahead and had a police officer come to the house today so that I could file a police report about this whole thing. I told him the story, and his reaction was the same as mine - at first he seemed to think it was the most incredible coincidence in history, but then as he considered it, he realized that it was an issue for concern.
However, there is nothing that can be done about it right now, except to document it in case anything else does come up.
He did the report in such a way so that MB won't be able to search and find himself easily. All the juicy details are hidden.
I called my folks and told them about the pictures of their house being sent to me along with zoo pictures from a stranger. My mom took it pretty well, all things considered. I found a picture of him online and e-mailed it to them so that they could be on the look out, too.
I feel like these are good steps to take.

Good for you Julie. I know you did the right thing. As I think Jason said, so you made someone mad that you never really knew anyway. The internet is a wonderful thing, we just have to remember that not all people who use it are as forthright or honest about their intentions as you may think.
