Last night, I let Connor fall asleep in the double bed again. I then went downstairs and told Kevin that I had left him there, not feeling up to moving him to his crib.
Kevin was to check on him periodically, or move him to the crib, whatever he felt comfortable with.
I then went to the store to look at bed rails. I didn't particularly like any of the ones there, so I decided to just go home and order the same ones Megan bought from One Step Ahead, because I know that I'll like them.
When I pulled into the drive, and I could see the light on in the room where I laid Connor down. That's when I knew that he fell off the bed while I was shopping for bed rails.
When I got inside, I found that I was right. Connor did fall off the bed. Kevin moved him to the crib, and then took the double bed apart. Now he just has a mattress on the floor.
And, we have decided to throw the old box spring away. It's not in great shape, has been repaired before, and needs to be replaced. Bulk pickup is scheduled for next week.
And, we are throwing away the headboard, too. I've been planning on making him a nice padded fabric-covered one since I've started planning out the improvements to his new room anyways.
