We Went to the Zoo!
Connor's daycare center decided to do a field trip on Friday. The 18 month - 30 month olds went to the zoo! We decided to go with them, because I really don't know that this age group is old enough for field trips yet. Then, Grandma and Grandpa decided to come, too!
After everyone got to the zoo, all the individual families broke off and went their own ways. Only the kids who didn't have parents with them stuck together, with the teachers. This only reinforced my belief that this age group is too young for field trips. We had a good time, anyways, though.
Note for future reference: the Friday before Memorial Day weekend is a HUGE field trip day at the zoo. There were probably 150 school buses in the parking lot, and the place was crawling with kids with no supervision.
Being a busy day at the zoo, I ran into lots of people. I ran into the father of one of the kids that I used to watch at a daycare center where I worked during college. I also ran into one of my blog readers that I had never met before. (It was nice to meet you, Mark!)
I'm glad that we are putting our zoo membership to good use already! We do have to go back again soon, as we *still* haven't seen the baby elephant yet!

We saw a bajillion school groups at the MD zoo on Friday, too!
Ummm...I'm not sure I would want to be the TEACHER taking the 18-30 month olds on a field trip.
Haha, yeah sorry if that was weird.. I was like hey! i know them.
We had a ball there.. Went with a friend and his two kids.. which makes the zoo so much more fun anyway =]
