Last night, before bed, I was having very regular contractions that were lasting two minutes, and were six minutes apart. That was one minute too far apart to call the doctor and head to the hospital, so I decided to try to go to sleep. I figured that if I could fall asleep, I would wake up when they got worse. Again, I was surprised when the alarm went off in the morning and I still hadn't had the baby.
So, we went to the doctor this morning for my appointment. Everything still looks good, so she hooked me up to the fetal monitors for a while. I was at that time contracting every four minutes, but she said that I look "too comfortable." (I have now had quite a bit of practice ignoring contractions this time around.) I'm only dilated 2 cm right now, so she sent us away again, but, not before scheduling me for an induction on Wednesday evening, just in case I still haven't had the baby before then. She told me that she doesn't expect me to last that long...but we shall see.
So, I shall either go into labor (more than I already am) and head to the hospital before Wednesday, or we will go in to be induced on Wednesday evening. Either way, Lex will be here by Thursday, which is when we hit the 41 week mark.

For a little boy who so eagerly wanted to grace us with his presence at 29 weeks is sure stubborn at 40 weeks. I know what is feels like to measure 45 weeks but I only went to 36(and 5 days). So try to get some rest if you can.
At least you know the end is near, one way or another! I was in "light labor" for 6 full days before my induction with Ace and never progressed past 2 cms. It grew very tiresome by Day 3!
