At Home with Two Boys

Today is my first day at home with just the two boys to keep me company. It's actually been a really good day. It's been very peaceful. In fact, both of them are napping right now, and I plan to join in on the nap time after I finish my snack. (A glass of milk and three Ho-Hos sounds about right to me.)

We did have a brief visit from the Kinetico water sales man this morning. Parts of it were very entertaining. Enjoy this exchange...it really happened this way. I swear.

Kinetico Man: Is your husband in the military?

Me: No. Why?

Kinetico Man: It's just odd that he scheduled this appointment for a month out.

Me: Well, we wanted to make sure it was after the baby was born.

Kinetico Man: Oh, I see. How old is this little guy? (Indicating Connor.)

Me: He's two.

Kinetico Man: And you have one younger?

Me: Yes, upstairs. He's less than a week old.

Kinetico Man: Oh! And you're expecting again already, I see.

Me: No, I'm still recovering...

Kinetico Man: ...

Connor: Mommy, what's that man's case? (Indicating KM's tool kit.)

Me: That's his tool case so that he can check the water.

Connor: Hammer in there?

Kinetico Man: No, we don't need a hammer...unless your water is really hard!

so, just to make absolutely sure--you're not pregnant again? :)

and if you don't remember our water is so hard that we could use that hammer (and that's WITH a softener and an iron curtain:)

Glad day one alone was peaceful (I take it Lex isn't jaundiced--both my girls were)!!!!

I love the look on Connor's face in the second picture.
