dear diary

i have a lot of random things to say, but that is probably because there has been a lot going on lately.

i had a new baby about 5 weeks ago, although it seems like much longer than that. it feels like lex has been a part of our family forever already.

i've only been a stay at home mom for three months, but going to work seems like it was part of a different lifetime already. sometimes i forget that if i was going to go back to work, i'd still be on maternity leave. i guess sahm's don't really get maternity leave after a new baby is born.

that said, when my doctor sees me and gives me the clear to go back to work (probably after thanksgiving), i'm going to go on holiday until after the new year. that's when we'll start working on things like potty training connor and getting the house reorganized (and possibly redecorated - i still can't wait to get new floors and counters and to redo connor's room). until then, i'm going to focus on enjoying thanksgiving and christmas.

kevin got a new job, and he's already been working at his new company for three weeks. everything there seems to be great!

we're closing on a new home refinance loan tonight. suddenly, we'll only have 15 years left to pay on our house. while getting everything together for this closing has been a chore (read: major pain in the butt), i'm glad. it's going to save us a ton of money in the long run, and the house will be paid off before the boys go to college.

i am thisclose to settling the personal injury portion of my claim from the car accident that i was involved in on april 1st.

and, we decided that we are going to go to nyc next spring! it's time to start planning a fun family trip.

p.s. i'm as happy as a clam in the sand, which means i'm a happy gal.

i must be having an out of body experience...or leaving comments for myself while sleepwalking...and if connor goes to college at age 11 then he better get a scholarship!
