I guess I felt better after my rant last night, because I read through the nutrition guide again, and decided that it was time to change Kevin's plan.
Instead of doing Phase 1 Level 1, I decided that it was time for Phase 2, and I also decided that he needed the additional calories provided by Level 2.
Phase 1 was a low carb diet, and Phase 2 is more balanced - there are fewer proteins and a few more carbs. Today, since I wasn't prepared for any of the recipes, I just threw some things together using the portion approach. We'll see if this change will help get things back on track.
I think that things petered out because he wasn't getting enough fuel to do the workouts anymore...which is when you need to switch to the second Phase of the nutrition plan.
(Oh, and he ate the breakfast that I made, so I am glad I made it. I would have felt like a really bad person if he went to look for it and it wasn't there.)
