I made this tasty crock pot dinner last week, and we liked it so much that I plan on making again this week.
Ingredients:
1 turkey breast (6-7 lbs)
1 cup apple cider
2 bay leaves
1 Tb paprika
1 Tb poultry seasoning
1 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
2 tsp kosher salt
Wash and dry the turkey breast and place in slow cooker. Pour the apple cider in the bottom of the crock pot. Add the bay leaves. Combine the other spices and rub over the top of the turkey breast. Cover and cook on low until turkey breast is done, usually 4-5 hours.
I also cut some potatoes into large chunks and layered them on top of the turkey breast with some baby carrots, so that my side dishes would be cooking at the same time. Turned out great!
I may leave the potatoes out this time, though, and make mashed potatoes instead, as the cider gravy was very tasty!
