Connor listened to tons of music for the first two years of his life, and he must have been paying very close attention and memorizing all the words. I can tell because he has recently started singing along to everything! Music in the car. Music at home on the radio. Songs I sing. Songs I make up on the fly. (I also can often sing along with a song the very first time I hear it - it's a strange talent, but he gets it from me.)
I love it! I love when he gets so excited and really belts it out. Or when he rocks out with a guitar as he sings along (whether it be real or imaginary).
Speaking of guitars...we brought Great Grandpa Peter's old Guild acoustic guitar home with us from Kevin's parents' house after visiting for Christmas. It had very old steel strings on it, and I believe Connor played it until his fingers bled. He insists that he hurt his fingers playing his new conga, but I think that's just where he first saw the blood. We dropped the guitar off at a repair shop tonight to get it back into good working order. Kevin is going to play it when we get it back.
I bought some sheet music for Connor's ukulele while we were there. I'm going to attempt to learn how to play that while Kevin learns the guitar. Maybe then we can show Connor a thing or two.
Also, I found out tonight that harmonicas are sold in different keys. There's a C harmonica, an F harmonica, a G harmonica...you get the idea...I had no idea!

Tell Big Pa you're interested in harmonicas and he'll set you up. Zo has not one, but TWO from him...and a third from Daddy!
