Connor has been having some interesting dreams lately, and he doesn't realize that they are only dreams.
Last week, upon waking, he ran to the window to check if the hot air balloons and monsters were coming. He told me a long story about the hot air balloons landing in our backyard with monsters in the basket.
A few days ago, he dreamed that we bought him a new train set. He looked high and low all morning trying to find where I hid the train while he was asleep. I kept telling him that it was all a dream, but I don't think that sunk in. Have you ever described the dream process to a two-year old? I tried. I bet it would have been funny to another adult listening, but fortunately, no one else was around to hear my poor attempts.
Last night, he was talking in his sleep. He was crying about going downstairs. I hushed him back to sleep and didn't think anything else of it. Until this morning. When he woke up, he told me that there was a shark in the garage, and he threw a fit about going downstairs. He told me that the shark was going to bite him and that it had broken Daddy's car.

wow---interesting--I actually never ran into this, where the girls thought the dreams were "real." It's very cute, they wake in the mornings and sometimes describe their dreams to each other now.
