Overheard Last Night

This post is dedicated to my husband, who overheard this exchange in real time, and laughed so hard that he cried, and then said that I had to share it with all of you.

*while changing a diaper before bed*

Connor: "Are there turds in there?"

Me: "Yes, some little ones."

Connor: "What are the turds doing?"

Me: "Nothing. Just waiting for me to clean them up."

Connor: "Are the turds going to get me?"

Me: "No."

Connor: "Why are the turds not going to get me?"

Me: "Because they are just turds."

Connor: "Now what are the turds doing."

Me: "Nothing. I just put them in the diaper pail."

Connor: "What are the turds doing in there?"

Me: "I have no idea. I've never been in a diaper pail before."
