There are several museums (and a zoo!) located in Central Park. We only had time to visit one, so we chose the American Museum of Natural History, with the idea of seeing the dinosaur exhibits first.
This museum has something like 45 exhibition halls, and we saw a grand total of 4 of them. But, they were the 4 dedicated to the dinos. Oh, and we also had lunch in one of their cafes. That counts, right?
I waited a little more than two years after this kid was born for him to get into the dinosaur stage. I am so tickled that he finds them fascinating. I can get excited about the dinosaurs with him.
For the record, Connor's favorite dinosaurs are the pterodactyls.
Someday, Connor is going to teach his little brother all about the different dinosaurs. I'm excited for that day, too.
This photo cracks me up! Apparently, prehistoric bear fossils are terrifying. Even Lex thinks so!
Touch this fossil? How cool is that!
This museum is wonderful, but entirely too large to see in one day. Especially with small children. We decided it was time to go when Connor said, "The dinosaurs are making me tired. I might cry."

I took my girls to their first Dinosaur Museum (a VERY SMALL one, barely one room:O)--and even that was too much for my frilly little fru fru girlies:D
Was it that little one at the University of Wisconsin in Madison? I took Connor to that one, and it was teeny-tiny. He enjoyed it so much that we did it twice! (It took us all of an hour to see everything twice.)
