Connorisms: Nearly 3 Years Old Edition
Connor has been saying the cutest things lately. He makes me laugh, and he loves to make people laugh. Lex is his favorite. He'll do just about anything to make Lex laugh. Sometimes, it gets him into trouble because it is something that he isn't supposed to be doing. And when I correct him, he'll tell me he was doing it because it was making Lex laugh. Some excuse, huh?
He mispronounces some words when he adds the "s" to the end of them. Like, "laughs." He'll pronounce it "laugh-is." I'm not sure why, but it's pretty cute!
"But Mommy, when I kick Lex in the legs, he laugh-is!"
He calls the "Three Little Pigs" the "Little Three Pigs" without fail. It's his new favorite story. I told it to the boys about a million times in the car during our long ride from Boston to our hotel in New Jersey, after we got a Three Little Pigs toy in a Happy Meal. Thank you, Shrek movie.
(BTW, Connor still has no idea that the toys come with the meal. I've been sneaky!)
Tonight for dinner, we went to a local restaurant with my parents. There were little frog illustrations on the menu, so Connor decided that he wanted to eat frog for dinner. He told the waitress that he wanted frog, but that he didn't want it to be moving. He ended up with mini corn (frog) dogs. With ketchup and "AB Sauce." We have a lot of "AB Sauce" at our house...you probably know it as A-1 brand steak sauce.

Wait - making people laugh isn't a legitimate excuse for doing things you normally aren't suppose to?
Now I feel silly.
I'll bet this is what Kamran has been doing with me, too. I'm like, "Look, ma, I'm eating bone marrow!" But it's actually corndogs.
I would eat anything just to be able to put "AB Sauce" on it. My parents would never let me load up as a kid, though, because it was too expensive. Lucky boys you have there.
We should all buy stock in A-1 brand steak sauce...
