Happy Fathers' Day!

As part of our Fathers' Day festivities, we took the boys out to see their first movie: Toy Story 3!

We stuck with the 2D version - as we weren't sure if Lex would keep his glasses on. Connor probably would have, but Lex would have tried to eat them. I know it. Have you met Lex? He tries to eat everything!

Kevin and I were big movie-going people before the boys were born, but since Connor was born, we have seen only 3 or 4 movies in the theater. Counting this last one. That's like a movie a year.

But I suppose that we are at a point where we may start seeing more of the G rated ones in the theater, at least.

Connor did really well. When it got a bit loud, he asked for his ear muffs, but other than that, he was quiet save a small request for M&Ms and chocolate milk. He sat nicely and watched the whole movie. He looked like he was going to doze off for a while, but he never did.

Lex also did really well. He was absorbed for the first half of the movie. He only tried to eat his ear muffs twice. Then he turned to me and wanted milk, so he ate and slept for the second half of the movie. It was nice to snuggle with a baby in the cold theater, too. I enjoyed it.

And the movie itself was fantastic! I highly recommend it. If you have kids. If you don't. It was pretty funny. Kevin and I laughed more than Connor did.

But Connor liked it, too. His new favorite characters are Woody and Jessy. Although he can't remember her name and keeps calling her the "other one yellow cowboy."
