The Quest for Connor's Souvenir

After locating an appropriate souvenir for Lex in Times Square, we set about looking for something great for Connor, in order to commemorate his first trip to NYC.

And lo and behold, we found the mecca of things that Connor would love, right in the middle of Times Square.

Did you know that M&Ms are my favorite candy? Connor inherited my genes, because the kid is crazy for M&Ms!

We bought him a Lady Liberty M&M candy dispenser. If you pull on her arm (the one with the torch), a little slide opens up and M&Ms come out into a candy dish at the bottom. It's actually pretty cool, and it combines one of Connor's favorite things with our trip to New York. He loves the thing. Today when I served him some M&Ms for dessert (in the dispenser, of course) he told me, "I'm so excited for my Statute of Liberty."

Then, we went to their M&Ms bar to buy some candy for his dispenser. We chose the color-coordinated "Lady Liberty Mix." We filled up a big bag (see above), and then discovered we had roughly $86.99 worth of M&Ms in hand. So we gave that bag to the attendant, and filled a slightly smaller bag. Why are the M&Ms $13.99 per pound in NYC? If I'm going to spend $100 on M&Ms, I want an entire bushel basket, thank you very much.

But we left happy, having found the perfect gift for Connor, and an elevator painted with a giant M&M on the inside.

The fact that Lex isn't in the picture of you, Kevin, and Connor has me convinced that it was him who took it, which is providing me endless joy.

Knowing what is going on with your life right now, Miss Blessed Journey, I'm sure that it isn't dull at all!

And of course Lex took the picture of the three of us. Why else would he be left out?
