The Sweetest Place on Earth

My husband is a "fun seeker." So, when we were driving home from our anniversary mini-holiday, we ended up stopping for lunch in Hershey, Pennsylvania. At Hershey's Chocolate World. Of course.

After lunch, we didn't want to stay too long, but we wanted to see everything, so we bought tickets for a 45 minute Trolley Tour of Hershey. It was fun and fantastic. There was singing and the tour guides wore costumes. And passed out oodles of chocolate.

Even though it was right after lunch and during our traditional naptime, Lex stayed awake for the whole thing. Connor fell asleep for only the last 5 minutes of our ride. I think it was all the sugar that did him in.

Hershey is an amazing place. I'm totally sold. I want to spend like a week there. There are about a million things to do. There are trolley tours (as you already know), chocolate factory tours, a build-your-own-chocolate-bar thing, 3-D movie, a rose garden, an arena (the circus was there when we were), golf course, a water park, an amusement park, an outlet mall, etc!

Oh, and when we go back for this vacation in chocolate land, I want to stay at the Hotel Hershey.

P.S. Milton Hershey is my new personal hero. That man was a visionary, and he was a humanitarian. Plus, he is responsible for M&Ms, Reese's Cups, Hershey bars and Kisses.
