The Waldorf Towers

Kevin didn't want to tell me where in New York we would be staying. All I knew was that we were headed to 301 Park Avenue, and that was what was programed into the GPS.

As we were heading there, I pulled the address up on the internet to look at a map. Google tipped me off that 301 Park Avenue was a hotel. And not just any hotel, the Waldorf Astoria.

But we weren't just staying in the Waldorf Astoria, our room was in their exclusive boutique tower, The Waldorf Towers.

This section of the hotel has its own entrance, own elevators, and separate staff. Even breakfast is served in the exclusive Astoria Lounge on the 19th floor (business or smart casual attire required - fortunately I had repacked our clothes after I found out we weren't going camping).

This is the king bedroom in suite 37M.

This is the bathroom. All the fixtures were gold. And the toilet had a push button on the side instead of a handle. Notice the phone?

Our small child running amok in our living room. (Notice that we have a corner suite. Kevin is a good talker when checking in, and he gets us good rooms, always.)

Now we are all running amok!

Checking out the view from the 37th floor.

The suite life.

Me and some red-haired children. No, they don't come standard with the room. We brought them especially.

Daddy, we are so high up! Look at all those tiny yellow cars down there!

I especially love the picture of Lex and the skyscrapers: "leaping off tall buildings in a single bound!"
