I have. Here are the two last books that I read, and both were very enjoyable.
Because I loved the Twilight novels, when I saw this novella in the store, I didn't hesitate to buy it. And if you liked Twilight, then you will like this one, too.
Apparently, though, I was among the last to know about this book, and for a period after its release date last month, it was available to read online for free. That has ended now, so you will have to buy the book (like I did). But it cost me a whopping $8. Or something like that.
I have had this book on my shelf for an embarrassingly long time, and I finally got around to reading it. I think I received it as a Christmas gift back when I was in college. I do know that it was right around the time when I first read Wicked, because it is by the same author: Gregory Maguire. This book is a retelling of the Cinderella story, from the view point of one of the ugly stepsisters. Of course, Cinderella's story isn't as pretty in this version - but the book is fantastic!
And I just found out this morning that back in 2002 (I told you this has been sitting on my bookshelf for forever), it was turned into a made-for-tv-movie starring Stockard Channing. Now I'm off to see if I can watch the movie.
