Have you seen any good movies lately?

I have. Two of them, in fact.

The DVD case for Zombieland said, "Funniest movie since The Hangover." And it was.

But it is worth noting that it wasn't funnier than The Hangover. I'm not saying this to knock Zombieland in any way, it's just that The Hangover was *that* funny.

Next up:

Julie & Julia. This movie inspired me.

Why don't I have a copy of Julia Child's cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking?

Why haven't I read Julie's blog?

My name is Julie. I like to cook. This could have been me. But it wasn't. Maybe it should be now. Someone get me this cookbook, stat!

We've seen both of these and really enjoyed each. Obviously for different reasons because they certainly are not similar movies!

I've also recently seen and enjoyed:

I Love You, Man
Law-Abiding Citizen
The Ugly Truth
Precious
The Invention of Lying
Shutter Island

I plan to watch PS I Love You at some point this weekend. And then I have a zillion movies in my streaming and DVD Netflux queues. I'll let you know what's good, and warn you of any stinkers.
